Regular exercise can help to strengthen the muscles around your hips and help to keep them flexible. A few great exercises to do are side leg lifts, back bridge, and wall squats. Make sure to start slowly and increase your intensity over time. Next, it is important to make sure you have good posture when sitting or standing. Poor posture can cause imbalances in the muscles in your hips, leading to pain or discomfort. Make sure you keep your back straight when sitting in a chair, and keep your shoulders back and chin parallel to the ground when standing. Third, it is important to make sure you wear comfortable shoes that provide adequate support for your feet and ankles. Wearing shoes with inadequate arch support or inadequate cushioning can cause a strain on your hips and lead to pain or discomfort. Finally, it is important to limit long periods of sitting or standing. Both of these activities can put a strain on your hip joints and cause pain or discomfort.
