Why

I am really confused-

I have full ruptures of the ACL, MCL and PLC

I have been given to different treatment plans from two different surgeons.

1. Due to the amount of trauma no surgery for close to 6 months at least. If I operate now it will impact me for life. Need to get leg straight though so arthroscopy to remove scarring first.

2. Due to having no stability in my knee at all I should have MCL and PLC done at the same time as the arthroscopy. 8 weeks after injury. Let that recover, get strong and then do the ACL seperately.

What is the right course of action? Why are they such different views?

what are the risks if I go for the surgery at 8weeks? I have no quality of life, I can't walk, can't sleep etc so I am keen to get sorted.

Go ahead with surgery . Do not delay . I would suggest to for MCL and PLC at first and than go for ACL later . I usually do all three in same sitting but you can get it in two stages . I do not think you should delay it as it will make your muscles weak and bone more soft. till you get surgery done keep on walking daily . You can use knee brace for support .
