why i can not run even after 7 months of ACL surgery? i did my surgery in sports injury center delhi?

After ACL surgery, most patients can begin light jogging in about 3 months and progress to running by 6 months. However, recovery time can vary from person to person. Some patients may take longer if their thigh muscles are still weak or rehabilitation has not been adequate. If you are unable to run even after 7 months of ACL surgery, the possible reasons may include: Improper or incomplete rehabilitation exercises – Weak quadriceps and hamstring muscles can delay recovery. Loose or stretched ligament graft – This can affect knee stability and confidence while running. Failure of ACL surgery – In rare cases, the graft may not have healed properly. Associated knee problems – Meniscus or cartilage issues can also cause pain or instability. In such a situation, it is important to visit your orthopedic surgeon for a proper clinical examination. If required, your doctor may advise a 3 Tesla MRI scan to evaluate the condition of the ACL graft and bone tunnels. If the MRI shows that the graft and tunnels are normal, then focused physiotherapy and structured rehab can help you return to running. Working with a trained physiotherapist can make a big difference in regaining strength, balance, and confidence. I hope this information helps you understand the reasons and the right steps to take for a successful recovery.
